Apply Today for the youth ambassador board!

Join EFL’s Youth Amabassador Board (YAB) and share your EFLI experience with the community! Being a part of YAB is not only a great way to stay connected with EFLI, it’s also a way to build on your experience from this past summer. As a Youth Ambassador, you will develop and execute EFLI community events and fundraisers, plan summer programming and generally advise the EFLI staff. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, then apply for the EFLI Youth Ambassador Board!

As a member of YAB, we ask that you make the board a priority. It requires a high level of commitment throughout the year so please be mindful of your other commitments as you make the decision to be a part of YAB. You will be required to attend at least 6 of the 8 monthly YAB meetings and are encouraged to attend all meetings.

Time Commitments

  • Full Board Meeting: Meets once a month for 2-3 hours (Saturday or Sunday)

  • EFLI/ YAB Events: Throughout the year

  • Internship: Weekly hours (approx. 4/week) in the EFLI office (see descriptions below for more detail)

All YAB members will be asked to help fundraise for EFLI to become self sustaining. The last two years of YAB have met their fundraising goals! You can too! All YAB members will participate in a training session that will provide you with skills and tips about how to fundraise effectively and efficiently.

If you are interested in learning more about the inner workings of a non-profit organization, receive community service hours and/or get work experience in program planning, organizational development, marketing, management and administration, the internship is for you!

This committee requires the highest level of commitment, members of this committee will be required to spend at least four hours per week in the EFLI office, excluding holiday weeks. These hours are a guideline. They are flexible and can be used throughout the year for specific events/programs as needed.
